How to connect WhatsApp

Go to Settings and choose the WhatsApp tab

Click Settings in the sidebar, then WhatsApp. You will see provider options: Twilio (your own account) or Meta Cloud API.

Choose your WhatsApp provider

Twilio gives you a dedicated number you control. Meta Cloud API connects directly with your Meta Business account. Both options give you a dedicated business WhatsApp number.

For Twilio: enter your credentials

Enter your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and WhatsApp number in +1XXXXXXXXXX format. Find these in your Twilio Console under Account settings.

For Meta Cloud API: enter your credentials

Enter your Meta Phone Number ID and Permanent Access Token. Find these in the Meta Developer Portal under WhatsApp then API Setup.

Click Save and send a test

Click Save, then send a test message to your own number to confirm the connection is working. Messages will now come from your dedicated number.

Note

First contact with any new lead must use an approved Meta message template. Free-form messages are only allowed after the lead replies to you.
