Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Meta Cloud API

Create a Meta Business Account

Go to business.facebook.com
Click "Create Account"
Fill in your business details
Verify your email address

Create a Meta Developer App

Go to developers.facebook.com
Click "My Apps" then "Create App"
Select "Business" as the app type
Fill in your app name and contact email

Add WhatsApp Product to Your App

In your app dashboard, click "Add Product"
Find "WhatsApp" and click "Set Up"
Link your Meta Business Account

Get a Dedicated Phone Number

In your WhatsApp app setup, go to "Phone Numbers"
Click "Add Phone Number"
Use a number NOT currently registered on WhatsApp
Verify the number via SMS or voice call

This number will be locked to WhatsApp Business API and cannot be used on the WhatsApp mobile app.

Complete Meta Business Verification

In Meta Business Manager, go to Business Settings > Security Center
Click "Start Verification" under Business Verification
Submit required documents (business registration, utility bill, etc.)
Wait for Meta review — typically 1 to 4 weeks

Have your business registration documents ready. Meta may request additional verification steps.

Get Phone Number ID & Access Token

In your app dashboard, go to WhatsApp > API Setup
Copy your Phone Number ID
In Business Settings, go to System Users and generate a token with whatsapp_business_messaging permission

Connect to Leadber

In Leadber, go to Settings > WhatsApp
Select "Meta Cloud API" as your provider
Enter your Phone Number ID and Access Token
Click Save

Set Up Webhook

In your Meta app, go to WhatsApp > Configuration
Set Callback URL to: https://leadber.com/api/webhooks/whatsapp
Set a Verify Token (any string) and add it in Leadber Settings
Subscribe to the "messages" webhook field
