How to track lead status
Understand the 8 CRM statuses
Every lead has a status: New, Validated, Contacted, Interested, Follow Up, Not Interested, Closed, or Opted Out. Use these to track where each deal stands in your pipeline.
Update status from the Leads table
Click the status badge on any lead row. A dropdown menu appears with all 8 options. Click the new status to update it instantly — no separate save required.
Filter your Leads table by status
Use the status filter at the top of the Leads table to view only leads in a specific stage. This helps you focus your attention on the right leads at the right time.
Closed deals improve LeadBrain
When you mark a lead as Closed, LeadBrain records a positive signal. The more closed deals you log, the smarter LeadBrain's future scoring becomes.
Opted Out leads are automatically protected
Leads marked as Opted Out are excluded from all bulk messaging campaigns automatically. This protects you from compliance violations.
